When you’re a hotel surrounded by hotels identity isn’t important, it’s vital

This design system for a classic, friendly hotel set up in 1963 in Mallorca’s Playa de Palma, home to one of the highest concentration of hotels in Europe, was an interesting challenge. Following the strategy of the owners, we took the first letter of the founders’ two names joined by a Y (“and” in Spanish) which gave us a perfect and simple design solution, that combines both past and present, and gives a fresh, flexible and lively feel to the brand with the Y as central axis. In this way the brand can freely develop its own distinct personality and so stand out from all the other hotels in the area.
