Can Bordoy

Turning classic Mallorcan townhouse into a symbol of welcoming luxury

Strolling through Palma’s picturesque old quarter you might come across Can Bordoy and even take a curious peep inside what is today one of Spain’s most refined hotels. That peep would give you with a feeling of contemporary luxury but also of a friendly welcome. Because – working with both the property and the architects OHLAB, right from the project’s start – that’s also what was done with the identity which arose out of simple proposal, making people feel at home. Flipping the classic icon of a house, the brand concept becomes a welcoming coat-of arms. And this unpretentious yet elegant symbol then proved highly adaptable in multiple applications throughout the brand identity, used on tailormade elements throughout the hotel, from the tableware to the Paparkone clay toiletry collection.

OHLAB Architecture

From the beginning, we tried to blur the lines between naming, branding, architecture, interior design, product, etc. as well as between authors.
